Job Opportunity: Payroll/Human Resources Clerk

We’re currently seeking a Payroll/Human Resources Clerk to join our client’s team and support their growing operations with accurate and timely payroll processing and human resources support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in payroll and human resources, and who thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment. This is a contract, in-office position with strong potential to become permanent, based in Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Assist the Senior Payroll Administrator with day-to-day payroll processing tasks
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll runs using Payworks
• Maintain payroll records and related documentation
• Assist with seasonal hiring and onboarding
• Support LMIA documentation and processes
• Provide general HR administrative assistance
• Help manage benefits administration and employee inquiries
• Participate in responding to workplace concerns and support workplace best practices (non-unionized)
• May assist with Labour Board complaints or inquiries

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education with a focus in payroll and/or human resources is a strong asset
• Previous experience in a payroll support role and/or familiarity with Payworks is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
• Open to learning and growth within human resources practices
• Effective communication and organizational skills
