Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Kitchen Helper who will be responsible for various food preparation and sanitation tasks. This role is suitable for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and offers potential visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• Keep records of the quantities of food used.
• Package take-out food and portion/wrap foods.
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• Take customers’ orders.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to process foodstuffs.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and appliances.
• Handle and store cleaning products responsibly.
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in various locations.
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits.

• Work location: On-site
• Salary: $16.00 per hour, 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Previous experience is an asset
• Languages: English
• Personal Suitability: Reliability, Team player
