Our client is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Drywall Installer and Finisher. Immigration support may be available for international applicants.

Job Details

• Location: Winnipeg, MB
• Work Location: On-site
• Salary: $30.18 per hour for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Schedule: Early morning, Day, Evening, Weekend shifts
• Vacancies: 3

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Bending, crouching, kneeling.
• Hand-eye coordination.
• Physically demanding and repetitive tasks.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Tight deadlines.
• Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
