Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Chef for a permanent, full-time position. We provide support for international applicants, including candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Location: Sioux Lookout, ON
• Salary: $33.00 to $36.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Work Hours: 35 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full-time

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
• Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
• Languages: English.

• Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
• Offers mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
