Job Details

• Location: Fort McMurray, AB
• Work Setting: Employer’s Home (On-Site)
• Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour (to be negotiated) for 44 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Conditions: Physically demanding, must be available for early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Care for pets
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
• Discipline children in accordance with parents’ methods
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Organize activities such as games and outings
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Supervise and care for children
• Transport children to and from school and appointments
• Support children’s emotional well-being
• Assist children with homework
• Plan and maintain a secure environment for children

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: Will train
• Certificates: First Aid Certificate required
• Target Audience: Children, including those with special needs (e.g., Autistic children)

Security and Safety

• Child Abuse Registry check
• Criminal record check
• Driver’s validity licence check
• Reference required
