Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to join their clinic. This position offers opportunities for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. The role is based in Orillia, ON, with a focus on supporting clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of information
• Interview patients to obtain case histories
• Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Complete insurance and other claim forms
• Maintain filing system
• Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
• Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
• Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
• Perform data entry
• Provide customer service

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• College/CEGEP or equivalent experience

Experience

• 1 to less than 7 months

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Outlook
• Familiarity with charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams
• Ability to handle correspondence, invoices, reports, and records

Work Environment

The role requires on-site presence, and individuals will be working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. The position demands strong client focus, organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to be a team player.

Salary and Employment Terms

• Salary: $25.00 per hour
• Work Hours: 35 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full-time
