Our client is seeking a dedicated Long Haul Truck Driver to join their team. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

Job Details

• Location: Whitby, ON
• Work location: On site
• Salary: $34.50 per hour (40 to 60 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening
• Vacancies: 5

Responsibilities

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
• Provide professionalism in customer service.
• Arrange travel and related itineraries.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain necessary permits for international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks.
• Inspect vehicle condition and perform maintenance.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information and service hours.
• Ensure safety of cargo.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Qualifications

• Certification: AZ class license required.
• Languages: English required.
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma necessary.
• Experience: Will train.
• Valid driver’s licence: Mandatory.
