Position: Head Chef

Location: 1812 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC, V5N 4A5

Work Location: On site

Salary: $28.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full-time

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
• Work Must be Completed: At the physical location. No option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• Recruit and hire staff.
