Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Cook specializing in ethnic foods. This position may offer immigration support for qualified applicants, including candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 1374 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON, K2C 0A9
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.50 hourly
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
• Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Terms: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Responsibilities

• Determine the size of food portions and costs
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
• Prepare and cook meals for events such as banquets

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role
• Certifications: Cook Trade Certification required
