Our client is seeking a Chef to join their team. Visa sponsorship may be considered for overseas candidates, with options such as LMIA support, PNP, or other Canadian immigration programs available.

Salary

Hourly wage ranges from $34.10 to $36.00 (to be negotiated), with work hours from 35 to 40 hours per week.

Terms of Employment

Permanent full-time employment with commitments during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and possible holidays.

Responsibilities

• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• Estimate labour costs.
• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
• Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• Create new recipes.
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events.
• Recruit and hire staff; train staff in preparation and cooking.

• Physically demanding work requiring attention to detail.
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Standing for extended periods; repetitive tasks.

Education & Experience

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
