Job Overview

Our client is seeking a truck driver. Visa sponsorship may be considered for international candidates. This position offers an opportunity for applicants with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Brampton, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.00 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Full time, Term or contract
• Special Commitments: Morning, Evening, Night

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption
• Arrange travel and related itineraries
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Record cargo information and fuel consumption
• Transport and handle dangerous goods

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: Will train
• Certificates: AZ class license required
• Transportation Experience: Long-haul experience preferred
• Criminal Record Check: Required
