Overview

Our client is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified international applicants, including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Abbotsford, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.60 per hour / 40 to 60 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Vacancies: 6

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle conditions and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• Will train

Credentials

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Additional Information

• Valid passport required.
• Willingness to travel cross-border and internationally.
• Must complete work on-site.
