Our client is seeking a skilled Carpenter for a permanent, full-time role in Mississauga, ON. This opportunity offers immigration support for international applicants, with potential visa sponsorship available.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
• Language: English
