Responsibilities

• Assess the children’s development to prepare a tailored learning plan.
• Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties.
• Develop and implement child-care programs to promote overall development.
• Lead activities such as storytelling and teaching songs.
• Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
• Engage children in various activities including crafts.
• Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for meals and rest periods.
• Observe children for potential learning or behavioral issues and report findings.
• Discuss child progress and issues during staff meetings.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
• Plan and maintain a safe environment for children’s well-being.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Credentials

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate
