Our client is offering a position for a Nanny in Ottawa, with visa sponsorship potentially available for overseas candidates.

• Location: Alta Vista and Smyth, Ottawa, ON K1H 5B6
• Salary: $20.00 per hour for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time
• Work Setting: Employer’s home with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis

Responsibilities

The Nanny will be responsible for:

• Changing diapers and following parents’ lead with toilet training
• Sterilizing bottles and preparing formulas
• Assuming full responsibility for household in the absence of parents
• Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shopping for food and household supplies
• Traveling with the family on trips and assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens
• Caring for pets
• Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children
• Disciplining children according to parents’ requests
• Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organizing activities such as games and outings for children
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals
• Supervising and caring for children during rest periods and school transitions
• Helping children with homework

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Languages: English
• Experience: Will train
• Additional Requirements: Criminal record check and references required
• Transportation/Travel: Public transportation available, willing to travel regularly
