Job Title: Assistant Manager – Food Services

Overview

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager for Food Services. This position offers the potential for immigration support for international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Location

On-site at 638 Fisgard Street, Victoria, BC.

Salary

Hourly wage: $36.75 for 30 hours per week.

Terms of Employment

Permanent employment, full-time with potential morning, day, evening, weekend, and shift commitments.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
• Monitor revenues to determine labour costs.
• Plan and organize daily operations.
• Set staff work schedules.
• Determine types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
• Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
• Participate in marketing plans and implementation.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.
• Languages: Proficient in English.
