Responsibilities

• Discuss results and students’ progress with them, their parents, and school officials.
• Participate in educational conferences and teacher training workshops.
• Assign and correct homework.
• Identify children’s individual learning needs.
• Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental, and social development.
• Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum.
• Prepare, administer, and correct tests.
• Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or General Education
• Experience: 1 to less than 2 years
• Certificates: Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
