Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses
- Conduct microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses
- Set up and conduct microbiological tests and laboratory analyses
- Assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports
- Analyze data and prepare reports
- Conduct field research and surveys to collect data and samples
- Produce reports
- Conduct literature reviews
- Coordinate multidisciplinary projects
- Participate in the commercialization of new products
- Conduct studies into the identification, effects, and control of human, plant, and animal pathogens and toxins
Qualifications
- Education: Earned doctorate degree
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Languages: English
Work Environment
- Laboratory, Greenhouse, Field location, Research institute
- Odours and Wet/Damp conditions
Skills and Competencies
- Accurate with excellent oral and written communication
- Team player with attention to detail
- Ability to distinguish between colours
Additional Information
- Transportation/Travel: Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence required
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance and criminal record check required
