Job Details

• Location: York, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $35.00 per hour (30 to 40 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
• Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements
• Test equipment to locate transmission faults
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
• Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
• Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
• Splice, join, and connect wires

Qualifications

Education

• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Skills and Requirements

• Bondable
• Willing to travel (travel expenses will be paid by the employer)
• Ability to distinguish between colors
• Physically demanding, capable of handling heavy loads
• Excellent manual dexterity
