Our client is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join their team in Prince Rupert, BC. This position offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Prince Rupert, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
• Work Hours: 40 hours per week
• Special Commitments: Morning, Evening, Weekend

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of prescription information
• Assist pharmacists
• Maintain prescription records
• Prepare medications for clients
• Set up and dismantle equipment
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products
• Help with scheduling and workflow
• Take body or limb measurements of patients
• Bill third-party insurers
• Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation
• Maintain supplies and keep collection areas clean
• Manage routine office functions including reception and booking appointments
• Order supplies and maintain inventory
• Schedule and confirm appointments

Additional Information

• Computer Skills Required: Proficient in MS Office and MS Windows
• Work Environment: Fast-paced, may involve repetitive tasks, and requires attention to detail
• Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, and a team player
