Plumber Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled plumber to join their team. We are open to international applicants, with visa sponsorship options available for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Various locations, including Fredericton and Miramichi, NB
• Work Setting: On-site (Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Construction site)
• Salary: $22.00 to $32.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Overtime: Required on Day, Evening, Weekend, and On-call shifts
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
• Instruct apprentices.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and fixtures.
• Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe fittings.
• Join pipes using various methods.
• Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications.

Qualifications

Education

• Other trades certificate or diploma.

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years.

Credentials

• Plumber Trade Certification.
• Plumber Red Seal Certificate.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral communication.
• Decision-making and judgment skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Safety and Transportation

• Criminal record check required.
• Must have own transportation and vehicle.
• Physical fitness necessary, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
