Job Details

• Location: 5 Copper Rd, Brampton, ON, L6T 4W5
• Salary: $36.25 per hour for 30 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
• Shifts: Early Morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend
• Vacancies: 3

Responsibilities

• Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.

Credentials

• AZ class license required.

Additional Information

• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel cross-border and internationally is expected.
• Criminal record check is required.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads are necessary.
