Job Overview

Our client is seeking a qualified Truck Driver to join their team. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Bolton, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $43.50 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Shift Variations: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available
• Vacancies: 4 positions available

Responsibilities

• Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience

Experience is an asset.

Credentials

• AZ class license
• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
