Our client is seeking a dedicated long haul truck driver. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Salary: $33.60 hourly / 32 hours per week

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required for international cargo transport.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.
• Process bills of lading, cargo manifests, or other documents.
• Communicate using two-way radios with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Additional Information

• Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence and driver’s abstract required.
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail; ability to work independently.
• Personal Suitability: Team player; punctuality.
