• Salary: $36.00 per hour, with 40 to 50 hours per week

Responsibilities

The Truck Driver will be responsible for:

• Planning or adjusting routes using computer equipment or GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Addressing customer complaints or concerns professionally.
• Driving as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspecting vehicle conditions including tires, lights, and brakes.
• Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Communicating information to central dispatch.
• Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Securing cargo and ensuring safety during transportation.
• Transporting and handling dangerous goods.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: Will train
• Language: English
• Licenses: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) required.
• Security: Criminal record check is required.

Work Environment

This position is physically demanding and requires attention to detail. Work must be completed at the physical location, with no option for remote work.
