Exciting Opportunities for GPs in Ontario

We have an excellent opportunity for General Practitioners (GPs) to join our client’s team of 18 GPs in their 4 clinics located in Sudbury, Ontario. The clinics primarily operate on a walk-in basis, ensuring that new GPs will have an immediate influx of patients due to high local demand.

Job Details

• Work Hours: Full-time physicians are expected to work normal office hours Monday to Friday, including one Friday evening shift (2-9 or 5-9) per month and two weekend days per month (9-4). Shift coverage without on-call commitments is required. Hours can be negotiable based on personal circumstances.
• Clinic Facilities: Each clinic is equipped with an onsite pharmacy and nearby lab/X-ray services.
• Patient Demographics: The patient demographic is diverse, typically ranging from 25 to 80 years old.

Compensation and Billings

Physicians will benefit from a 70/30 split (70% to GPs), and retain 100% of income from forms and WSIB, resulting in a total approximate split of 80/20 or more for GPs. Maximum income potential can exceed $850,000 if additional support from a physician assistant is utilized, depending on the number of patients seen and hours worked.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidates will possess excellent bedside manners and capability to integrate into a friendly community-oriented setting. Special interests or skills in Urgent Care are appreciated, given the variety of patients and treatments.

• Induction programs include orientation with managers and onboarding with physician assistants and support until acclimatized
• Assistance with arranging real estate agents and school orientations
• Introduction to local medical affairs for those interested in opportunities within the local hospital

Requirements

Suitable candidates must have completed a full postgraduate training program in General Practice/Family Medicine from either the UK, U.S., Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
