Position Summary

Our client is recruiting 4 certified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians to support projects in Canada.

Work Location

Primary office locations are in Fort McMurray, Alberta and Kitimat, British Columbia. The role requires frequent travel to various project sites across Alberta and British Columbia.

Terms of Employment

• Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
• Wage: Hourly wage rate of $51.50 to $57.62 CDN, depending on experience and relevant technical qualifications.
• Overtime: Payable at 1.5X as per applicable provincial employment standards.
• Bonus: Additional bonuses and premiums are payable for evening or night shifts.
• Vacation Pay: Provided at a rate of 6%.

Language Requirement

Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

An IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician utilizes specialized knowledge of Rope Access Technology to:

• Manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities.
• Organize work functions specific to rope access jobs.
• Supervise crews engaged in a range of technical and/or industrial services at heights.
• Ensure compliance with IRATA standards and regulations for safe work performance.

Requirements

• IRATA Level 3 Certification required.
• Thorough understanding of applicable rope access applications and comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment, rigging, maneuvers, climbing, hauling, and advanced rescue techniques.
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician in various industrial environments.
• Current first aid certification.
• Valid drivers’ license is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
• Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions.
• Physical and psychological fitness, passing random drug and alcohol testing.
• Compliance with Acuren and/or client-required pandemic policies prior to employment and ongoing compliance with adaptive policies.
