Canada Express Entry Draw: 1,000 ITAs for CEC Candidates

Canada continues to offer exciting opportunities for international job seekers, and understanding the latest immigration updates can help you navigate your journey. Recently, on September 3, Canada held an Express Entry draw, issuing 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates from the Canadian Experience Class. The minimum score required under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 534, which is a consistent score since the previous draw on August 7.

Prior to this, there was also a draw for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates on September 2, where 249 ITAs were issued, requiring a minimum CRS score of 772.

Current Draw Statistics

Throughout 2025, Canada has conducted:
– 16 PNP draws
– 9 CEC draws
– 4 draws for French language proficiency
– 1 draw targeting education occupations
– 4 draws aimed at healthcare and social services occupations

In the previous year, the Canadian government issued a total of 98,903 ITAs, and in 2023, they provided 110,266 ITAs to hopeful candidates. The trend indicates a robust commitment to welcoming skilled workers.

Interestingly, this latest draw incorporated a tie-breaking rule established on August 14, 2025. This means that if multiple candidates had the same CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this specific date and time received invitations.

Candidates invited have 60 days to submit their applications, which will usually be processed within a standard six-month timeframe.

How to Get Sponsored to Work in Canada

If you’re keen on moving to Canada, securing a job offer can significantly increase your chances of receiving a PR invitation. Many employers are looking into obtaining a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or a nomination under a PNP, which can pave the way for long-term employment and residency.

Our website, VisaJobsCanada.com, is dedicated to connecting you with Canadian job opportunities that include visa sponsorship for international applicants. Every listing on our site provides details on how employers can support your application, making your journey smoother.

What is an LMIA?

An LMIA is a document that Canadian employers need to obtain to hire foreign workers. It assesses whether there are Canadians available to fill the position. If an LMIA is positive, it demonstrates that hiring a foreign worker will not negatively impact the Canadian labour market.
