Our client is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant. This role is open to other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and immigration support may be available.

• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Weekly Hours: 30 to 40 hours
• Shift Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours

Overview

• Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience in nursing assistant/aide and patient care assistant/aide
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Languages: English

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling medical equipment
• Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
• Perform other duties related to personal care
• Supply and empty bed pans
• Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Serve meal trays and feed patients
• Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
• Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
• Supervise patients’ exercise routines
• Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas
• Maintain inventory of supplies
• Answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
• Collect specimens
• Administer first aid in emergency situations

Credentials

• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate

Additional Information

• Transportation: Valid driver’s licence required
