Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver to join their team. Visa sponsorship is potentially available for qualified international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Surrey, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.60 hourly, 40 to 50 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using navigation devices
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials
• Inspect vehicle condition and perform necessary maintenance
• Record cargo information, service hours, and fuel consumption
• Ensure safety and security of cargo

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Certificates: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
• Type of Trucking: Tractor-trailer
• Transportation Experience: Long-haul
