Job Details

• Location: North Vancouver, BC
• Work location: On site
• Salary: $36.80 per hour
• Hours: 35 to 60 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent full-time
• Overtime: Required
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Address customer complaints or concerns professionally.
• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
• Obtain special permits and documents for transporting cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Maintain vehicle condition and perform inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs.
• Record cargo information, service hours, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure safety and security of cargo during transportation.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Experience is an asset.
• Certificates: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and withstand physically demanding conditions.
