Our client is seeking a Truck Driver, Long Haul. This position offers opportunities for immigration support for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Calgary, AB
• Work Location: On the road
• Salary: $36.60 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time
• Vacancies: 6

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Languages: English
• Licenses: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Additional Information

• Travel expenses paid by employer
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be willing to travel cross-border
• Repetitive tasks and sitting required
