Our client is seeking a Family Physician who is open to international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Opportunities for visa sponsorship may be available.

Job Details

• Location: Red Deer, AB
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $240,000 to $252,000 annually (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Full-time, Term or contract
• Work Hours: 40 hours per week
• Additional Benefits: Free parking available

Responsibilities

• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Perform and assist in routine surgery
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
• Participate in health care policy and planning
• Advise patients on health care
• Supervise staff
• Be the patient advocate
• Coordinate or manage primary patient care
• Provide acute care management
• Provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
• Supervise home care services

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
• Experience: 5 years or more
• Language: English
• Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP); Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities

Work Conditions

• Work under pressure
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license required
• Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone required
