Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Food Service Supervisor who is open to candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. This is a permanent, full-time position located in London, ON, offering a competitive salary of $34.50 per hour for 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
• Prepare food order summaries for chef
• Supervise and check assembly of trays
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
• Establish work schedules

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Certifications

• Food Safety Certificate
• Safe Food Handling Certificate

Work Environment

Work is conducted onsite at a fast-paced food service establishment, including settings such as restaurants, catering firms, and fine dining establishments.

Work conditions may be physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and the ability to work under pressure.
