Our client is seeking a mechanic’s helper – automotive to join their team in Markham, ON. This position is open to international applicants, with visa sponsorship potentially available.

Job Details

• Location: Markham, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $35.75 per hour
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
• Work Hours: 35 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Move tools, equipment and other materials
• Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Transport material and tools to and from work areas
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
• Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience

• 2 years to less than 3 years in a similar role

• Criminal record check
• Driver’s validity licence check
• Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information

• Own transportation
• Valid driver’s licence
• Own vehicle

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking
• Handling heavy loads (more than 45 kg)
