Welder Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Welder for a permanent, full-time position located in Brampton, ON. Immigration support may be available for qualified candidates, including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Salary: $34.50 hourly (based on 35 hours per week)
• Work Location: On site at 36 Germain Circle, Brampton, ON, L6X 0B3
• Vacancies: 4 positions available

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) for weld design.
• Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping machines.
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
• Determine weldability of various materials.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding.

Skills

• Efficient interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Team player with resourcefulness.

Work Conditions

• Fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Manual dexterity required; must be able to stand for extended periods.
