Responsibilities

• Assess children’s development to prepare tailored learning plans.
• Develop and implement programs promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Encourage creativity through art, play, music, and physical activity.
• Observe for potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents or guardians.
• Discuss children’s progress at staff meetings.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
• Maintain a healthy and secure environment for children.
• Organize activities for school-age children before and after regular hours.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of other educators and assistants.

Credentials

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
