Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months preferred
• Work Environment: Butcher shop, Supermarket/grocery store, Cold/refrigerated, Odours

Responsibilities

• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
• Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
• Wrap and package prepared meats
• Price meat products and weigh meats for sale
• Sell meats to customers and supervise other staff
• Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products

Skills and Experience

• Equipment Experience: Band saw, Power grinder, Slicing machine
• Personal Suitability: Accuracy, Client focus, Dependability, Team player
• Work Conditions: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment
