Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Food and Beverage Server to join their team. Visa sponsorship is potentially available for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 401 Avalon Drive, Labrador City, NL, A2V 2Y9
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $17.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated), 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
• Prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables
• Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
• Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
• Advise on menu selections
• Balance cash and record sales
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
• Serve food and beverages
• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
• Store beverage and food products
• Serve food or snacks
• Collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages
• Operate video lottery terminal
• Short order cooking and food preparation

Qualifications

• Languages: English or French
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Experience: Experience is an asset
