Job Details

• Location: 503 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G 1A5
• Salary: $28.50 to $30.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Setting: On-site, in a formal dining room, restaurant, urban area, and bar

Responsibilities

• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
• Estimate labour costs and maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
• Analyze operating costs and other data
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
• Supervise activities of other kitchen staff
• Instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
• Prepare and cook complete meals for events and specialty foods
• Consult with clients regarding events and menus
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation and handling

Experience and Specialization

• Cuisine Specialties: Cantonese and French
• Experience Required: 2 to less than 3 years
