Job Details

• Location: 101, 2011 Strachan Rd SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1B 0G4
• Work location: On-site
• Salary: $18.03 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend
• 3 vacancies available

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on beauty care treatments
• Analyze hair and scalp condition
• Book appointments
• Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
• Shampoo customers’ hair
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Manage additional hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting
• Supervise apprentices/students in training
• Apply hair extensions and perform various styling techniques
• Handle receptionist duties and maintain supply inventory

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in hairstyling
• Licenses: Hairstylist Licence required

Work Environment

• Noisy environment with potential odours
• Urban area barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio
