Job Details

Our client is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their construction team in Halifax, NS. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and potential visa support available.

Overview

• Location: Halifax, NS
• Work Setting: Construction
• Salary: $21.00 to $27.00 hourly (negotiable), 35 to 47 hours per week
• Experience Required: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment.
• Read blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• Operate computer-controlled equipment.
• Complete onboard and other logs.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.

Credentials

• Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification is required.

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Attention to detail is essential.
