Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Family Physician who will work in a clinic setting. This position offers immigration support for overseas candidates who are interested in working in Canada.

Job Details

• Location: Calgary, AB
• On-site Work: Yes
• Salary: $250,000 to $350,000 annually (to be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
• Special Commitments: Weekend, Shift
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• Examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• Help patients develop healthy habits and break old habits.
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Advise patients on health care strategies.
• Be the patient advocate.
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care.
• Provide counseling and support to patients and their families on health and lifestyle issues.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• Experience: Experience in family practice is an asset.
• Languages: English

Credentials

• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II).
