Experience

7 months to less than 1 year in drywall installation work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Supervise other workers
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• Level and smooth coats of plaster
• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cut and install metal corner beads
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks
• Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
• Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Tape over joints using a taping machine
• Attach metal or gypsum lath
• Install vapour barriers and insulation
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
• Utilize laser alignment systems
• Estimate costs and materials
