Our client is searching for a skilled heavy equipment mechanic. We provide immigration support for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Location: 290 1ST WEST, Vanderhoof, BC, V0J 3A0
• Work location: On site
• Salary: $43.50 hourly / 40 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Flexible hours

Education Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Or equivalent experience

Experience Requirements

Experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
• Service attachments and working tools
