Job Overview

Our client is seeking an administrative assistant for their team. This role may offer visa sponsorship, including support for candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Surrey, BC

• Salary: $28.00 per hour, 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time

Responsibilities

• Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
• Supervise and train other workers
• Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences
• Determine and establish office procedures and routines
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Manage contracts
• Answer telephone and relay calls and messages
• Compile data, statistics, and other information
• Order office supplies and maintain inventory
• Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
• Set up and maintain manual and computerized filing systems
• Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 1 to less than 2 years of experience

Skills

• Computer and technology knowledge, including Google Docs, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, Accounting software, MS Office, and Quick Books

Transportation and Work Conditions

• Own transportation and vehicle required
• Valid driver’s license necessary
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
