Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor for their Food and Beverage Processing division. This role involves supervising production activities and ensuring quality standards while supporting visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Edmonton, AB
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $25.50 hourly, 35 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Overtime required, Early morning, Night, Weekend, and Shift work
• Vacancies: 2

Work Environment

• Cold/refrigerated, Odours, Clean, Hot, Noisy
• On-site customer service, Urban area, Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG)

Key Responsibilities

• Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process
• Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
• Prepare production and other reports
• Improve productivity and product quality
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule production activities
• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Direct quality control inspections
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products
• Evaluate daily operations and develop production schedules

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a similar role
• Certificates: Safe quality foods (SQF), WHMIS, and First Aid

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Organizational skills and team player attitude
