Job Overview

Our client is seeking an Early Childhood Education Worker who will develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators, supervise activities, and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement child-care programs.
• Assist in promoting child development.
• Observe children for learning or behavioral issues.
• Prepare reports for parents or guardians.
• Attend staff meetings and discuss children’s progress.
• Establish guidelines for behavior.
• Plan activities for school-age children.
• Supervise early childhood educators and assistants.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year working with children.
• Certificates: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid, and CPR certificates, among others.
• Experience with children with special needs is an asset.

Working Conditions

• Work Environment: Noisy, Outdoors, Air-conditioned, Non-smoking.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license and own transportation required.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: $21.00 hourly, 35 to 40 hours per week.
• Benefits: Health care plan, maternity and parental benefits, free parking available.
