• Location: 21 Rouse Street Box 2174, Hearst, ON, P0L 1N0
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.00 per hour, 35 to 44 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Shift, Flexible hours

Overview

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.

Experience: Will train. Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
