Job Details

• Location: St. John’s, NL
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated); 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Prepare plaster models and moulds
• Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
• Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory
• Maintain and order supplies
• Mould wax over dentures set-up
• Finish metal framework of dentures
• Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
• Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
• Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
• Polish and buff dentures

Qualifications

Education

• No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience

• Experience an asset

Skills Required

• Technical expertise in plastering, packing, waxing-up, polishing, and assembly
• Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, and other Microsoft applications
• Experience with medical and biomedical equipment
